    Illegal connections campaign
    CMWU announce a new campaign which gives the opportunity for one month to all the citizens, and offenders who receive water through illegal ways, in order to settle the illegal status of their subscriptions and registered officially in accordance with the following conditions:
    1.The subscriptions shall be registered to participate with 50% discount.
    2.Ignor the previous period completely (when the customers receives the water illegally)  and start a new one.
    3.The customers shall sign a commitment letter in order to  pay the water bills for all the coming duration of his subscription.
    4.In the event the Customer has failed in paying the water bills for a period of two consecutive months after signing the commitment, 2 months from the old period before the subscriptions will be added to his accounts.
    5.If the customers fall to pay the water bills for a period of 6 months, CMWU has the right to claim of all the months in which water was used illegally.
    6. After the deadline ended (31/1/2010) the inspection department will follow up of the citizen who illegally connected to water network and the unit shall collect all the required evidence and transfer it to the judicial institutions (the police and the competent courts). The offenders shall be penalized with heavy fines commensurate with the size of theft.
     
    In cooperation with the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs as well as other relevant institutions CMWU will deliver the message to all the citizens.

    • Preserving water resources in cooperation with the Palestinian Water Authority.
    • Sanitization of the distributed water that runs through  the distribution networks until it reaches the consumer.
    • Connecting the water supply service to all residents of the sector and improve services.
    • Improving the debts collection operations in order to cover operating expenses, maintenance, and development of wastewater treatment.
